Goodbye Summer, Hello Schnaps – Anthracite Goes Kräftskiva!
On September 19, Anthracite hosts a Swedish crayfish party (kräftskiva) in the gallery — in celebration of our current show Land Escapes with two of our exhibiting artists at the table.
Apéro from 18:30, feast begins at 19:30.
Expect mountains of crayfish freshly flown in from Gothenburg, drinks till late, and singing loud enough to shake the walls.
A kräftskiva is Sweden’s way of saying goodbye to summer: paper lanterns, festive hats, and endless toasts. What began as a royal delicacy has become one of Sweden’s most spirited traditions — a night of crayfish, schnaps, and songs that grow louder as the evening goes on.
