ANFÄNGE brings together works by BA and MA students from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), offering the opportunity to present their work publicly at a formative moment in their artistic development, before practices become fully defined. Rather than focusing on graduation projects, the exhibition highlights strong, considered works that reflect intention, confidence, and an emerging artistic voice.

Presented in a dense, salon-style hanging, ANFÄNGE reflects the diversity of approaches, media, and perspectives represented in the exhibition. Painting, sculpture, photography, installation, and mixed media coexist in a shared space, allowing for dialogue across practices rather than individual isolation.

For Anthracite, the exhibition extends its ongoing commitment to introducing strong and diverse voices not yet widely visible in Switzerland. ANFÄNGE is not about the unfinished, but about beginnings taken seriously, works that stand on their own while pointing toward what comes next.
